Favorite part of working at Total Solutions?
My favorite part of working at Total Solutions is my co-workers. This is probably the best accounting team I have ever worked with ( I’ve seen a lot in my 30+ years in the accounting field). Four words for them: Competent, Motivated, Innovative, and FUN!! Which really just describes our entire TS team.
What has been your proudest moment or most rewarding accomplishment working at Total Solutions?
Anytime my clients are happy and thankful to have my help. It’s nice to know that I am a part of their team and valued
What would you be doing for a career if you weren’t doing your current job?
Probably working somewhere by an ocean/beach. Maybe a marine biologist working with dolphins. LOL!
What is the best career lesson you have learned?
As Elsa said in “Frozen”: Let it go! Let it go! Sometimes the best thing to say/do is nothing.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Traveling, road trips, and dinners out with family and friends.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
COFFEE!! Making coffee disappear is my superpower.
Where is your favorite place to be?
On the beach! Any beach!! Do you notice a common theme? LOL!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“It’s not life or death, it’s only accounting. It can be fixed.”
Sometimes you just get so involved in what you’re working on and want to always do the best job you can for the client. You’re putting in long hours and/or are extremely frustrated. Don’t let it bleed into your personal life. Take a break. It will still be there when you are ready to start at it again.
What would your autobiography be called?
“The RedHead: Enough Said” LOL, we get a bad rap
If you could have dinner with any 3 people dead or alive who would you choose?
I’d pick 4 people. My mom, whom I lost in 2001. My dad, who just passed away in January, and my Grandma Columbia. I would love to get them all together again, high them, and just ask them a bazillion questions about things I found out about their lives after they passed. I wish I would have known to ask those questions when they were still here.
The 4th person would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. LOL. He just seems like a really cool guy. I am sure he would get along great with the other three.
What’s the worst style choice you’ve ever made?
BIG 80’s HAIR!!! Bangs’ hairsprayed at least 4 inches high!
You have to sing karaoke which song are you picking?
Probably “Nobody” by Sylvia. I know what you are all thinking “I’ve never heard of that song”. Right????? I have no idea why, but back in 1982 when it came out, I learned every single word of that song and can belt that song out like no other song I know. Weird, I know.
